Drafted the article for Quilting Arts magazine. I still have to refine it a bit but it’s coming
along nicely and I think it’ll be well received. Whenever I write an article for a magazine I know that it will be edited down to fit the available space so I always write more than the word count calls for so that the editors have options about what to keep in and what to leave out. My goal was to create at least 3 new small pieces to accompany the article and I didn’t quite get there but I did finish 2 and have drawings done for 2 more so I am happy with that progress.
You might remember that last week I talked about not being sure whether or not I would run the artist studio bootcamp as an online class or just self publish it as a book. I decided that I would do both! I am just waiting for my book proof to be delivered this week so I can make sure that it looks as good in actual book form as it does on the computer. The book will be available on Amazon.com and as soon as it is ready I will make it available and I will open registration for the online class – I am hoping that will be by Friday of this week. The cost of the book will be $25 and I will provide a coupon code for those who buy it (as long as they provide proof of purchase) for $25 off the cost of the online course or a personal coaching session. Of course you don’t need to buy the book to take the online class because you will receive all the of the content in the book in the form of the downloadable lessons that you can print yourself.
On my list of intentions this week:
Finish the remaining two artworks for the QA article.
Finalize the Artist Studio Bootcamp stuff and open registration for the class.
Get some blog posts drafted on a variety of subjects.
Have a great week!
