You might remember that my latest book “Modern Art Quilts” released a few months back. Well now it’s time to do an official blog hop and a giveaway to celebrate it!
In this book I share fusible appliqué techniques for creating gorgeous modern art quilts. But this book is more than just a technique book, Modern Art Quilts also features a deep dive into the basics of art and design, with design exercises that I hope will get your juices flowing.
C&T kicked off the blog hop tour here with a short excerpt of the books chapter on the principles of design illustrated by my work!
Monday 2/25: C&T Publishing at ctpub.com/blog –
Wednesday 2/27: Teri Lucas at terificreations.com
Thursday 2/28: Kelly Nagel at blog.sulky.com
Friday 3/1: Timna Tarr at timnatarr.com
Monday 3/4: Susan Arnold at QuiltFabrication.com
Tuesday 3/5: right back here on my blog.
Oh, and about that giveaway I mentioned? You can enter to win an ebook copy of Modern Art Quilts HERE. Enjoy the hop!
I ordered your book from Amazon before I found out that I was already reading your blog. It inspired me so I’ve gotten started with the fusing. I don’t do appliqué, so this is the perfect answer for me. In fact, my post of March 30 was about how I fused on black fora wallhanging.

This is just what our local modern quilt guild needs. We are sharing with them about art elements to help them design their own quilts. Your book looks great.
